The Maine Wedding Barn at Farview Farm

Wedding Ceremonies

Your ceremony: a garden lawn, white gazebo, open-field setting and a carefully planned indoor weather option.

Your ceremony at the Maine Wedding Barn

Your guests begin to gather on the lawn as the gazebo frames the distant mountain ridge. The gardens are in bloom, the fields stretch out around them and the people who matter most are waiting for you. Then comes the walk down the aisle and the moment the day becomes real.

You can choose a traditional ceremony at the gazebo, use the field for a more open setting or create something entirely your own. Whether you are planning a full processional, a ceremony shaped around family traditions or a simple exchange of vows, there is room to make it feel personal.

Once the ceremony ends, everything else is only a few steps away. Your guests can move into cocktail hour while you take photographs around the gardens and fields, joining them afterward in the barn for dinner and dancing.

A thoughtful plan for Maine weather

Maine weather can change quickly, so every outdoor ceremony needs an indoor plan that has been considered from the start. If conditions make the lawn impractical, the ceremony can move into the barn. Your guests remain on the property, and our team handles the venue’s ceremony chairs and the necessary room changes.

We will talk through the backup plan with you ahead of time, including when the weather decision needs to be made and how everyone will be kept informed.

If the forecast changes, you already know what will happen next and can continue getting ready for the part that matters: marrying each other.

A ceremony that feels like yours

Some couples want a traditional walk down the aisle. Others bring together different family or cultural traditions, write their own vows or keep the ceremony relaxed and simple. You are welcome to create something that reflects who you are and what the commitment means to you.

Before the wedding, we can help with the timing, processional order, entrances and the transition into cocktail hour. During the rehearsal, everyone can see where to stand, when to walk and what happens after the final words are spoken. By the time your guests arrive, the people involved in the ceremony know where they need to be.

Experience it for yourself

During a private tour, you can walk the aisle, stand beneath the gazebo and look back at the view your guests will see. We can discuss your guest count, seating, entrance, ceremony timing, weather options and how everything will flow into the rest of the celebration.
