As guests find their seats, the barn fills with conversation and the sound of glasses being poured. Dinner is served beneath the old wooden beams, stories make their way around the room and, as the evening continues, people drift toward the dance floor.
The restored hayloft can welcome up to 175 guests while keeping everyone part of the same celebration.
From the tables, your guests can see the room come to life around them. Nobody is tucked away in a separate space or have to look around a post/beam to see the happy couple. Everyone is visible.
A room that changes with the evening
During dinner, the white ceiling drapery and warm lighting soften the scale of the barn and create an inviting atmosphere around the tables. Later, the music changes the energy of the room and the open floor becomes the center of the celebration.
The original timber gives the barn its character, while the open layout leaves room for your own ideas. Tables, flowers, colors and personal details can shape the space around the kind of reception you have in mind.

The Maine Wedding Barn operates its own licensed bar with professional bartenders. We will talk through the drink arrangements, service details and costs with you as the reception takes shape.
Your place is with your guests
Once everyone is seated, your place is at the reception rather than behind the scenes managing it. Our day-of coordinator works with your caterer, musicians and the people involved in speeches, while keeping an eye on the timing of the evening.
Plans sometimes shift once a room is full of people enjoying themselves. We make the small adjustments that keep things moving, leaving you free to sit down, raise a glass and join the celebration happening around you.
