Wedding Planning Checklist ❤️

To ensure your big day is smooth and enjoyable, most couples take some time planning the event. We compiled a list of things you want to consider. By following this checklist, you can ensure that your wedding preparations are organized, efficient, and stress-free.

  1. Budget: Noone likes to talk about money, but it will be very important throughout your wedding planning process. Determine your wedding budget, allocate funds for various expenses, and keep track of expenses using a spreadsheet or an app.
  2. Guest List: Create a guest list and finalize it, including who will be invited to the ceremony, reception, and any other events. Generating this list early on helps you with your budget, venue etc.
  3. Venue: Choose a venue for the ceremony and reception, considering the number of guests, location, amenities, and cost. If you are looking for a rustic, garden or outdoor wedding, our barn may be a contender! If your day is spread out in different locations, consider the commute.
  4. Vendors: Research and book vendors such as a caterer, photographer, videographer, florist, DJ or band, and wedding planner (if desired).
  5. Wedding Dress and Attire: Choose your wedding dress, tuxedo or suit, bridesmaids’ dresses, and groomsmen’s attire.
  6. Invitations and Stationery: Design and send out wedding invitations, RSVP cards, save-the-date cards, and other stationery.
  7. Ceremony and Reception Decor: Decide on the decor for the ceremony and reception, including flowers, lighting, centerpieces, and other details.
  8. Music and Entertainment: Choose music for the ceremony and reception, and decide on any other entertainment, such as a photo booth or games.
  9. Wedding Cake and Catering: Select the wedding cake and choose the menu for the reception, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
  10. Transportation: Arrange transportation for the wedding party and guests, including limos, shuttles, or buses.
  11. Accommodations: Reserve hotel rooms or accommodations for out-of-town guests, and ensure they have transportation to and from the wedding events.
  12. Wedding Ceremony: Plan the details of the wedding ceremony, including the order of events, readings, and any special rituals or customs.
  13. Wedding Reception: Plan the details of the wedding reception, including the timeline, speeches, dances, and other activities.
  14. Wedding Favors: Choose and purchase wedding favors for guests to take home as a keepsake.
  15. Photography and Videography: Hire a photographer and videographer to capture the memories of your special day.

We hope this helps you for planning your big day! We will cover some of the points in this checklist in separate blog posts and are here to help if you ever need input. Happy planning!
